Castro Valley United Methodist Church is a place where faith, fellowship, and service come together. We gather to worship God, grow as faithful Christians, care for one another, and serve our neighbors. Our church offers opportunities to connect, learn, worship, and make a difference in the community. Whether you are new to faith, looking for a church home, or simply want to learn more, we invite you to be part of our church family.

Worship
Come as you are. You are welcome here.
We worship every Sunday at 9:00 am on Zoom and at 10:00 am in the Sanctuary. Our services include familiar liturgy, heartfelt prayer, and the reading of God’s Word, along with relevant preaching that gives strength for the week ahead and helps us grow in God’s grace. along with vibrant congregational singing. The Zoom service lasts about 30 minutes, and the in-person service runs about an hour and 15 minutes. To join on Zoom, email the church office for access.
Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month, with bread and grape juice. All are welcome at the table, and ushers will guide you. Dress is casual. Some people dress up and some wear jeans. You’ll fit in either way.

The Well,
a contemporary praise service for young people and young families, will meet on Saturday, November 21 at noon in the Fellowship Hall.
Children's Ministry
Our worship service includes a Children’s Moment for the young people of the church to receive an age appropriate message from the Pastor or other member of the church. Following this moment, children are free to exit the sanctuary to join one of our available Sunday school classes.
Nursery Care: Children newborn to three years old are welcome to play and sing songs.
K-5 Sunday School: Children will learn Bible stories, sing songs, play games and enjoy arts and crafts led by our screened and Safe Sanctuaries trained Sunday School teachers.
Parents/guardians should check-in and check-out new children from their class and are welcome to sit-in on classes to see curriculum first hand or to help their child acclimate.
Middle school and high school age youth remain in the sanctuary for worship.

Adult Ministries
Castro Valley UMC offers several adult programs—Men's Club, Faith Circle, and Tuesday Friends—as well as service opportunities through Food2Go, FESCO, and Caring Hands.
Choir
Singing in the
choir is a wonderful way to dedicate yourself to the praise and worship of God, and to minister to others as well as your own heart and soul. Bring your voice, your joy, and your heart. The choir welcomes everyone, with no audition or music-reading required, and director Matt Bourne will help new singers find their part and grow their voice.
Rehearsals are Thursday evenings and include an opening devotional, music practice, and sharing time.
Bible Study, Prayer, and Fellowship
Bible Study, Prayer, and Fellowship for adults meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.

19806 Wisteria Street, right off Castro Valley Boulevard with easy access to I-580. There is ample parking in our lot, with reserved spaces for first-time visitors.
